Despite initial resistance to the implementation of the HST in British Columbia, attitudes towards the tax are changing. Some who initially opposed the tax are now in favor of keeping the HST having seen some of its benefits. The CTF is campaigning for a two percentage point reduction in the HST - from 12 to 10 per cent - saying it would be an improvement on the archaic PST.
